Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 097 and 098.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Received my first letter today :)
Happy for you! How are they holding up? Any word?
The letter was dated 12/25 and 12/30. Said things are okay, a lot of intense training. And graduation is Feb 8 :)
Did receive two letters today dated Dec, 30 and 31st. They were still in their first week. Said she got the plague which most do. Also, many are finding it hard to work as a team yet and they have their first inspection today. Was worried that they might now pass. Was great to hear from her, hope all the rest of Div 097 got their letters today as well.
See above :) The letter is positive.
HeyZues, thanks for the update. I will be praying for your daughter. When is her PIR date?
Still no word from my daughter ship14/div 098 :(
Thanks for letting us know. Hoping things get better for them.
Same as my daughter :) I just wish I would hear something...trying hard not to worry
Sorry your daughter sounded down...once they get past the 4th week things should pick up for them :)
Received 1st letter today dated 12/23/12...Ship14/Div098 is ALIVE!!!!! I'm hoping that everyone else that has been waiting for so long for the 1st letter finally gets one today too. He had a letter for me, his Dad, and one for his brother in the envelope and its funny how different each letter is. In my letter, he says how much he loves and misses me and how suprisingly well he has adjusted...saying its not so bad here. Said he's making friends but didnt mention names. He said he has a pretty good chance of leaving bootcamp as an E3. He was appointed Starboard Watch Section Leader and will be in the front row carrying one of the Flags. In his Dad's letter, he said P-week was TERRIBLE and what made it worse was they had it two weeks instead of the normal one week and that on day 2 he thought he wasnt going to make it but didnt say why. And to his older brother, he said there was a lot of in your face yelling, cursing, and pushing to the limit but said he is able to tune it out thanks to having 22 years of much worse treatment by his big bro (LOL) so he was thanking him for preparing him for bootcamp. He also said he is pumped about whats coming up for them (gas chamber, M-9 training, battlestations, and captainscup)...boys! :)
