Anyone else's son/daughter on this ship/div?

Hi! My son is in this ship/division. He arrived 12/12/11 to bootcamp.

My son did too!

do you know what this ship and div scarf colors are

My son has a contract for SWCC. I am surprised at how easily I can be brought to tears lately.  I'm getting better, though.  Him being away at Christmas makes it all the more difficult for me. That and no contact. At least I have an address for "snail mail" now. I am a bit obsessed with this site (my daughter's observation), but I am trying to keep busy and I know my son is doing just fine.

I know exactly what you mean. I had a teacher friend tell me the other day, not meaning to oversimplify what we're going through, that my son is getting on with his life and she is sure my son is assuming we are doing the same. So in a way, that made me see things a little differently. That he is keeping busy and not dwelling on what we are doing back home. Oh he misses us when he has time, but he is on this adventure and is not likely worrying about us. It got me to remembering what I was like when I went out on my own. That somehow has made it a little better for me. But trust me, if I am alone for a long period of time..... well, you know. I hope it is beginning to get a little easier for all of you. It won't be that long and we will see our kids in their navy uniforms. How proud we will all be! Hope you have a good Christmas. I will be thinking of all our recruits this weekend. Take care.

do you know what color of scarf is being chosen for this div and ship number

My son is in this division, also.  He is going to be a air rescue swimmer, too!  Can't wait for graduation so I can see him.  I hate not being able to talk to him or, at the very least, text him!!

It is hard to get used to isn't it? Hoping you and yours have a good Christmas weekend. Stay with this sight and write anytime you need to vent or ask questions or whatever. Wonder if our sons know each other.

Hi, My son is also working towards Rescue Swimmer. He left on the 12th... crazy crazy emotional time for all of us.  I am so glad to find some others in the same "boat" and am looking forward to sharing with you as we go thru this process.

I know that it is necessary to cut the cord, so to speak but it sure seems awful especailly at this time of year.  Know my thoughts and prayers are with each of you over Christmas and that I will send positive thoughts to your kiddos, along with mine!  Just think, they are all bunking in the same room and dealing with the same food and training.  They may become life long buddies!

Take care, and Merry Christmas!

Mary

That's great! Thanks! Have a Merry Christmas and I will be thinking of all our recruits this weekend. Take care.

Merry Christmas, Ladies!  I hope you all have a wonderful holiday. Our boys are doing a good job.

Hi fellow Moms!

Well, we all survived the holiday! I hope you are all feeling better and that you enjoyed your Christmas.

I can tell you that it was very strange to not have my oldest son at home... but we did get thru it and had some fun and laughs.. and I know my sailor would not want us to be missing him! He is on a grand adventure and we must all be so proud of them!!

I am looking forward to meeting all of you and to seeing our kids again at PIR!  we are 25 % thru the process!  Lets celebrate that!!!

Take care,

Mary
