I thought it would be good to get to know each other a little before they move on to A school in Charleston.  I am only 3.5 hours away so I am hoping to get to visit frequently.  If your SR's need anything while they are there I would be happy to help.

I am a proud Nuke Mom.

Hi Connie, my son is a Nuke. He is in ship 03 Div 071. Thank you so much for starting this. I live in Maine, can't wait to visit Charleston but not sure how often that will happen. I was hoping we'd get the letters this week with their rate but we didn't, hopefully early next week.

I am a proud Nuke Mom as well!

I'm sure you will get his rate next week.  My son said he got his first choice of EM in this weeks letter.

Hi.  My SR is going to Nuke School also and is in 03/071.  I'm 4 hours away so I, too, hope to visit often.  Charleston is a beautiful city and one of my favorite places to vacation.  I have been there 15 times. They will love it there.

Looking forward to meeting you both at the Meet and Greet on the 16th.

hi...my son is in this group and is a nuke.. we are from NC, so not too far from Charleston. Going out to IL next week to see him graduate. He said A school didn't start til 3Mar. So I am planning on getting him from SC to come home to visit if he is allowed. I'm so darn proud. He is the RCPO of his division. Good luck to your nuke!

What part of NC are you from?  I am also from NC and will be traveling to PIR next Thurs.  Flying out of RDU.

I am from Salisbury. Leaving out of Greensboro Thursday Morning. I'm so excited. Never knew it was going to be so hard being separated from my boy. He is nineteen. My name on Facebook is Crystal Denise Gale...yeah that's my real name...lol. Look me up and let's chat.

Mine is also 19.  I will find you on facebook.  Are you going to the Sarges Meet and Greet on Thurs?

I don't know anything about this. I am flying out Thursday. When is this?

I got a letter yesterday and my SR said he got his first choice of EM, he also said that there are 5 nukes in his division. We're getting close!

Have a great day!

Congrats on him getting his first choice.  I wonder how many Nukes there are total.  I am still worried they will wind up on a charter plane and we will not be able to spend time with them at the airport.

oh dear, I never thought of that. He also made a little calendar with notes and on the 18th he wrote "leave for South Carolina really early" but I'm guessing he meant for the airport and doesn't know his flight info yet.

Mine said the same thing.  He said he was sad that they only get to spend half of Fri with us and fly out so early Sat.  I think they only know when they go to the airport and don't realize we can visit at the airport.  I will be there at 2AM if that is when we can visit.
