Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 099 - 100

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Good morning fellow SR moms! Looking forward to getting to know each of you better. What a wild and crazy and emotional ride we are on together with our kids! Only 39 more days to go until we can hold them in our arms again!!!!!
Hello All....my son is in div 099. I cannot wait to see him and give him a big hug. When he called on Saturday, he told me that he is homesick and misses everyone. But I reminded him that they will keep him soooo busy that he won't have time to miss us...well not too much...He said that all the guys in his division are cool.

My son is in the same division :D I got my first call on Saturday as well and had to pull the car over we were both crying so hard. This is a growing experience for them, and for a lot of them, first time away from home....I believe it will get better! we need to stay positive for them!

Hello moms, my som is in Div100 and will be remains in GL for A school.
35 and counting!!!

My son is in div 99 and he will stay in GL, too.

Son is going to become an IC and yours?

GOT A LETTER FROM MY SON TODAY!!!!!

YAy for mail!!!

Was so excited and surprised to get another call from my son yesterday afternoon!!!!  We talked for almost 20 minutes!  He sounded SO much more upbeat and positive than he did last weekend.  I am so relieved.  We talked and laughed and he told me all sorts of stories.  It was great.  He said they may get to call again this Wednesday or next weekend!!!!!  Just a head's up.  (He's ship 12 div 100).  He loves and appreciates all the letters from everyone.  I asked what day of training they were on and he said that tomorrow will be day 2-3, just fyi.

My son is in ship 12 div 100 as well.  I got to talk to him Saturday for about 20 minutes or so.  He's having a bit of a rough time with it.  I guess he's not really believing me that it is mostly a head game and is letting the RDCs get into his head.  I've heard several people say it is day 2-3 but it sure doesn't look like it should be.  More like 3-2.  I think he said they were going to get hair cuts again this week which is a week 3 activity, so it might be because they are a push division that some weeks get clumped together, I don't know.

My son is ship 12 div 100 aiso. I got a call this past Saturday and he sounded glad to be getting a little time to call but said they stay busy most of time. I think you are right about the head games. I know it;s hard for all the recruits in these first few weeks in training. The letters from home are very important about this time. I am trying to send them often because he said it really helps at the end of a long day to have a letter arrive.
