Nuke is the nuclear power jobs.

From the Navy websit

This involves everything from operating nuclear propulsion plant machinery to controlling auxiliary equipment that supports Naval reactors to maintaining the electronic equipment used to send and receive messages, detect enemy planes and ships and determine target distance.

There the machinist mate, electricians mate and electronics technician

Kathryn A coffeemom that is exactly what I was asking, but you worded it much better. Just wondering what I should have ready as my son is also a future nuke. Will it be references for him or relatives.

Comment by Kathryn A CoffeeMom on January 13, 2015 at 8:03pm
My son is a future nuke, are the references like before? someone who knows him, not
related?
Comment by dogdoc on January 13, 2015 at 8:03pm
Mine came from an 847 area code and just showed "IL" calling.

Puglife, is she in 915 or 916? My daughter is in 916.
FTLW, I got one of those precious sec clearance calls yesterday! She needed quite a bit of info and I have until Friday to email or fax it. I can tell they're thorough and that's obviously good!
Comment by JC19 on January 13, 2015 at 8:01pm

FTLW

Quick question, the security calls are they looking for references for the seaman recruit or what? Or is it looking for family members to contact them?

Thanks
