Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I am so happy for all the rest of you that got one too:) I feel for those of you who haven't yet!:( I know it is torture!:( I thought I would share how well my son seemed to be!! I was surprised at the letter because I was worried he would be real down and ready to come home. I have been so worried that he would want to quit or something! He told me it was pretty challenging but he thinks it will get better and that all in all, things were good:) YAY!:) he was a little aggravated at himself tho because he failed the test by 10 seconds :/ He will make it next time I am sure!:)

Comment by bpa1955 on January 26, 2012 at 11:52pm: My SR is in the 07/080, I didn't get a letter but my grandaughter and daughter in law did. He sounded great and even though I would love to have gotten a letter. I am so relieved because I know he is ok! And I know that I will get a letter!
