Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I finally decided I better stop driving by so slow before they came out and asked me what my business was there haha

Comment by ColoradoMom Nuke ET on January 30, 2012 at 9:25pm: I would like to thank the SR (and his mom) who allowed my SR to use his calling card. Apparently the calling card SR took with him - although it works just fine when I use it - does not work there.

Now, if I could just get SR to use my cell phone instead of our house phone! I almost missed the call as I was not quite back in the house after a trip to the grocery store. I'm so glad I didn't come home 5 minutes later.

Comment by Debra11 on January 30, 2012 at 9:25pm: Jackie, I feel the same way; maybe if we both show up in Great Lakes and demand to at least see the boys, they'll let us?? I could barely get back to work after he called, I was quite a mess (no tears, but close). This site has been a God send, but I'm spending way too much time on it! I work full time and go to school part time, so I have lots to do, but I can't stay away from this site. I think it makes me feel closer to my SR.

Comment by harpist mom on January 30, 2012 at 8:59pm: Jackie, You are not alone. I have cried so much since saying goodbye to my son at the MEPS location. I know what you mean about wanting to go get him and bring him home! I did hear from my son briefly today - he was allowed to call because they still need some information for his security clearance. It was GREAT to hear his voice even if it was a very brief phone call. I asked him if he had received any mail. He said yes, then he immediately said he had to go. I know how you feel. We can help each other get through this.

Congrats on the calls! Yes...they can be homesick and this call can be very emotional on both sides...but they are almost to "hump" week folks and it starts to get better!

075 and 076 are "brother" divisions and train together...so that's why they ate on the same day.
