Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

097/098 will start off BattleStations for this group. We cannot post actual dates on here (RTC's request since they want you to practice OPSEC and pretend that BattleStations is taking place on deployment...no details released) but we can private message on here. I can say that it looks like 097/098 will go the week before PIR week....just am not able to publicly tell you which night. But if you friend request/private message me, I can tell you.

That's great Division 097 is earning all those flags--means they are pulling together and working as a team!!
Any letters with Battlestation dates? Please friend diannep and let her know with a Comment in the private message section~~ She needs the division and proposed date. Thanks~~

97 is my sons division as well. So glad to hear things are going good because my son is NOT a letter writer.

Got my Thursday letters today, yippeee!! Division 97 has done well. They all passed on the drill inspection so they got a flag for it and can now march without the RDCs. They also did well on their 2nd test and got a pennant to carry as well. He really enjoyed the Livefire but wished they had more time. It was a bit rushed. Ah, so now I look forward to tomorrow and another Friday down and we'll be there soon after that, woo hoo!!!

This scripture is so appropriate for the Battlestations that your SRs will be going through soon. Perhaps you can share with your SR in a letter now.
