Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

MamaBearto4boys My son is in Div 098, too. I sure hope it wasn't my son who forgot to count your son's push-ups. I would feel so bad. :(

Hi! My son is in div 098. I got a letter today from him. We need to encourage our kids to work as a team for them to pass their tests. My son was bummed because he worked so hard to pass his fitness test...he didn't pass his second test because his working partner said he forgot to count my sons pushups. So over 50 pushups were counted as zero because it is up to the partner to report the number. We all want our SR's to pass and its sad something this simple can block it.

You would put your name on the ticket and place in the box in front of the basket(s) you are most interested in. Tickets will be sold at the door and during the buffet once the buffet and slide show is complete we will draw the winners. Good luck!

Sorry I have not been here today. It snowed all day yesterday and then it went away, woke up to snow this morning and then it went away. We are expecting 10-14+ inches of snow in the next two days (I am in North Carolina). So I spent the last two days getting ready to be snowed in for a while. I got a lot of work done, went to the post office to ship goodies, rented 3 movies and went to the store and bought milk and bread so we should be good lol. I bet everyone in Atlanta is staying home so they don't have a repeat of last week. this storm is going to be much much worse that the last one. I hope you all are somewhere warm and cozy :)
