~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

We had a busy busy weekend, My hubby was maxed out on his comp hours so he took a 3 day weekend and moved my craft room into a bigger room :) He did all the heavy lifting and I got it all organized. I think he had the easy part lol.

JetersMom:  You will have the rest of PIR Day with him, until about 8 or 9 pm that night.  You can then meet him at the airport in the wee hours (when they are bussed there to wait for flights)the next day if flying out on Sat...at that time, you can give him personal items to tuck into his Navy-issued backpack.

Thanks CatMom509, that was what he said. We are making the 16 hr drive to PIR because we are afraid that flight could be canceled and do not want to miss it. SO if he flys out any vVeteran Navy Mom will we have any time with him after his PIR?

Gloria:  If he had his own bank acct, he may have given that info to RTC for his direct deposits or he opened a Navy Fed acct.  You would not have access to either if you are not on the account.  So sorry about the position you are in, but only your husband could handle that, and I'm not sure he can handle it from Bootcamp.  You may want to write him and see if you can get the info, but HE would have to be the one to add you to his account so you would have access to the money.

So I have a question you guys might not even be able to answer? But I'm hardly grown...so this bank stuff/ married stuff is new to me! Lol.

I have my own bank account, my husband couldn't join my account because of some outstanding fines. Little ones, but we have a baby, so we're broke. Anyway, they wouldn't let him use my direct deposit forum...something I figured, but he never asked his recruiter like I asked him to. I'm sure those with husbands can understand. ;) Anyway, I guess he's able to send it to his bank? I'm not sure. He mentioned nothing about opening an account through the Navy one they do. But is there any way I'd be able to get that money? He didn't get to talk about it much since the convos are very short. So I was wondering if someone else has ever went through something like this? The issue is I'm currently not working since I'm the only parent and child care is expensive...and we don't have any money now. :/ So I was looking toward his pay as help for groceries and formula. I'm just stressing out and I don't want to write to him about it because he has enough to worry about.
