~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Hello All!

"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably

Also, ladies, Sarge charges $3 per person each way and he does not colllect for the ride back to your hotel first!  He collects when he drops you off to RTC for PIR, then he (or his driver) collects again when you are dropped off to your hotel.  Keep his cell number programmed into your phone under SARGE 847-212-0246.

When I was looking for Sarge's shuttle after I was done shopping at the NEX, I called Sarge's number and his partner Dave answered saying he was just coming back through the RTC gate and what color his van was.  When I approached the lot, there were several minivans all in a row trying to flag me down.  I said I was looking for Sarge and they said they were with him!!  Then Dave came out and said he was just talking to me on the phone, so I was able to get on the right minivan~~  The other ones will overcharge and you are stuck when you get into one of them.  Please be careful.  Sarge's vans usually says Sarge's on them~~

Ladies:  There seems to be some very brutal competition re: the PIR shuttle service (actually cabs).  This is between the local service and Sarge's.  Seems that many in the 02/28 group were overcharged.  Some paid for roundtrip when they left the hotel, only to get another cab when they returned and pay again---they said it was very confusing.

My suggestion is this:  I suggest that ALL use Sarge's service, not the one you book through the hotel.  You can contact Sarge at 847 212 0246 or email johnspadaro@att.net.  He will have a signup sheet at his MeetandGreet.  You need to be sure to get his cab driver's name, phone number, specific info on where to pick up the cab after PIR.  There is lots of misconception going on....sad, but true.  Many of the cab drivers with the local service are not happy with Sarge's service giving them so much competition.l  We support Sarge because he is very kind to the sailors/families....and offers the free MeetandGreet (food is free, donations accepted) to you all.  Just remember that if you book through your hotel, you are not booking Sarge's service, you are booking the area service.

If you do decide to go with the local service, booked through your hotel, be sure to also get your cab driver's name/phone number/cab number so you are sure to get back on that one after PIR.  I would also make sure to get a receipt from the driver showing you paid for round trip.  SO very sorry this has become so competitive with the families caught in the middle....but I realize everyone must make a living!
