~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

I believe that in Carrie's address below, she meant to put Div 104, not 14.

Eyeof the Tiger Cabowabo and Ninjamom, My SR is also ship 04 DIV 808.  Eyeofthetiger where did you read about the divisions?  We have a very good friend in 809 and was hoping he would be in the same TG. This is very good news!

Hi to Ninjamom and cabowabo  - Our son is ship 04 div 808.   Interesting to read how their division will define them.  It seems this time there are two 800 divisions in this TG, training group, Ship 04,  808 & 809.

Hi Ninjamom! My son is also ship 04 div 809. Other than receiving "I'm here" call and form letter, I have not heard from him. Hoping I receive a call soon!!!

Hi Everbody, just joining up here.  Form letter came this morning.

Ship 09 Div 108

PIR 3-14-14.

I think we are one of the later ones to this division.  My son arrived at GL late in the evening of 1-16-14.  Weird thing is that another family had a son leave MEPS at the same time and they arrived together at GL but put into division 113 and will likely not have PIR until 1-21-14.

Looking forward to learning more and talking to families that we are likely to meet in March.

Thanks,  and congrats to those receiving phone calls, can't wait.

blessed beyond measure  Sorry about that yes it should have been Div 104.

Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons  I was so happy to hear he was in good spirits.  It did double my efforts to write letters.  He may now get two a day!
