OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Red Rover:  Very small mail room at RTC with only 2-3 people staffing it, we heard.  Hoping that your letter w/piks finally got there.

Congrats on the letters everyone!

Got a letter from my SR today:) Did the firefighter and the gas chamber with no problems!!! Stated that Division 117 was doing their PFA on Tuesday the 5th and then BS sometime the next week and phone calls on Tuesday after. Can't wait:-) He also told me that he bought me and his sisters a sweatshirt and he purchased pictures, he is such a good kid. I miss him soooo much and can not wait for next Friday!! I will admit it is gonna be hard not to hold his hand or show to much motherly affection when I see him! Have a good rest of the week everyone.

AirForce/Navy Mom- good for you.  I guess No News IS Good News.  We are all so happy for you and your SR that all things worked out.  He sounds like he has a good sense of Humor.  This all warms are hearts and God knows we all need this Good News at the end.  My SR signed our letters Smooth Sailing, This is true for the rest of this experience.

Happy Momma Here!!!  I got 3 letters from my SR who Doesnot like to write.  He said he was looking forward to BS 21 and excited for PIR.  He did say the 119 made it thru the gas chambers and he scored good on sharpshooter, earning metals and ribbons.  He was disappointed that his friends did not write and he did not get the page with pics that I sent.  Whats up with the mail not getting there??  He talked about the cold and his having to wait to start A school. He was telling his sis that she will be colder than she's ever been.  We're warm weather people and don't do well in the cold.  I am just so excited to have gotten letters before we leave for PIR.  He sounds Stoked and this is going to be sooo good.  See you all in 7 days.

Thanks Jazzy's mom. Was not sure how much to disclose but son said Div 114 all passed and they were putting extra emphasis on marching as a group. Said the food there was designed to fatten you up, but hoped the 5 he gained was muscle, lol. Said marching in blizzard conditions was a challenge. It was so great to get a lletter, was jumping around like a schoolgirl!

OOOOH!  Jazzys Mom.......Thank you for sharing!!! Its great to hear some positive news about Div 118!!!!  Still keeping them in prayer.....but it sure did help the heart!!!

Rec'd a letter and questionnaire from my SR today. She indicated it may be the last one she will have time to send. Div 118 passed the Gas Chamber with flying colors however she said it was nerve wrecking waiting for it to begin, not knowing what to really expect. She said no one "puked!" This week they take their final PFA, Drill Inspection and Test 3. THEY STILL NEED HELP working as a team. She confirmed BS21 is indeed on the day we thought 118's would be held.

I started burning my blue candle last night. Let's really hold division up in prayer AND ALL OUR SEAMAN RECRUITS. Just a few more days!
