OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Has anyone received the PIR DVD yet? I'm anxious to share it with family that couldn't be there...

Congratulation to all of the SAILORS and their families. Graduation was truly  amazing. I appreciate all of your support from the bottom of my heart. God Bless and good luck to everyone. I'm proud to be a Navy Mom truly is such an understatement!!! I now have 2 Navy Airmen sons. My heart is bursting with joy. Our Sailor is off to Pensacola for A school were his wife will be moving down on Saturday. Thanks to NavyforMoms for all the informative information. The staff at The Navy Lodge was awesome.

BTW, does anyone have a video that they posted the INCLUDES the song "Anchor's Aweigh!"? Also them reciting the creed?

Thanks to all here. Thanks for answering my questions so quickly and correctly. What a weekend. Unbelievably beautiful. One of those rare times when we are all on the same page with a united goal/view. And it looked like the time we all had was wonderful! When the door rolled up and the drums were drumming, it was surreal...like stepping back into time...into a WWII technicolor movie. And I don't think there was a dry eye in the building when the class was singing "Anchor's Aweigh!". My only sorrow was that being post-9/11, we couldn't walk around with our new sailor and have him show us a little of the place that was his life for 8 weeks.

CONGRATULATIONS to all the new Sailors and their loving families!!  Stay connected at Navy for Moms in your Sailor's new A school groups and more!!  Check out all the other groups you could be sharing in. Their journey doesn't end with their Pass in Review graduation.  They still have lots to go through before they are assigned to their future duties!!  God Bless You~~

Congrats to all of the SAILORS and their families. Graduation was amazing. We got to see our son before graduation at the Honor Recruit ceremony. Even got to give him a hug, kiss and visit a few minutes before he had to leave to take his place in the drill hall. Since his division was performing, they did not march in as the other divs did. But since he was in front center, we got to see him the whole graduation. We got so lucky thst he was not leaving for "A" school in Pensacola till Sunday and left out of the same airport as we did. So he had liberty both Fri/Sat. We we ended up with 2 whole days and most of yesterday with him at the airport visiting with him and his new friends. Something that really pissed me off was that one of the guys wr were visiting with was that his new wife that he had just married before he left for boot camp along with his mother or mother-in-law who were staying downtown Chicago in a luxury hotel could not see fit to come to the airport to see him off or even bring him his cell phone. She did not want to be bothered or inconvenienced. My husband and I spent time with him and bought him breakfast while she was enjoying herself. She was being cery selfish if you ask me. Me I can't wait to go visit my son in Pensacola on a weekend when he starts getting leave for the weekend.

Ladies:  We N4Moms veterans like to keep our info up to date.  Please post any info that we gave you that was not accurate, or that has changed, etc.  It will be a big help to us when advising future groups!  Thanks so much!

Glad to see such great "times" at GL!  Congrats!

allsparkle:  Of course we LOVE all of our military men/women, no matter what branch, but remember....you have a SAILOR, not SOLDIER!  HA!  Common error on this site!  They are all loved, and that is the important thing!
