Jodie, yeah, I know. It's a really tough thing because when my mom passed it was almost harder that I kept getting messages from everyone reminding me of it all the time. I appreciated it a lot more once I had time to process. So I don't think I'm going to write anything long, just offering a pal and my condolences. :)

that is so very sad. Thank you for sharing with us and I think it's a great idea that you're writing him I would just be very sensitive and very careful what you say just because you don't want to upset him anymore. But he would probably love the support.

Hey everyone, I also wanted to share with you so maybe you could keep him in your thoughts, not gonna share the name but my hubby told me in a letter one of the buddies he's made there recently found out (I think on Valentine's Day no less) that his girlfriend had died in a car accident. So if you wanted to keep him in your thoughts. I'm gonna include a letter to him with mine to my SR tonight. I couldn't imagine what he must be going through on top of all the pressure and I'm sure that mail time is just another cruel reminder. So I plan to say something to the effect of I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I just wanted to let you know if you would like a pen pal for the remainder of your training that I have plenty of stamps.

@Montana! Just saw your birthday greeting. Thank you and yes, it was on Sunday! I got a 25 minute call from my son and he had some of the other SR's wish me a happy birthday also. It made my week!

Comment by CatMom509 on February 26, 2015 at 4:33pm

Okay, everyone, so with Jodie's SR verifying they are going into Hell Week, which is where the really intense training happens where they are working on earning flags to carry in front of their divisions, this means that probably no calls for the next few weeks until just before PIR.  At that point, it will be based on how well the division is working together.  So, your weekly letters will be your main source of communication!  But still keep your phones handy for the reward calls~~

That's so odd then. Because mine were postmarked the 23rd too and normally you get yours before me. But I'm pretty sure he said they can mail out Wednesday too. So I was just wondering if maybe the ones you had today were from that and I would get more tomorrow.
Comment by Jodie on February 26, 2015 at 4:20pm
Montana, the 23rd. So Monday per usual (except last week obviously because of the holiday)
