~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Just received my first phone call from my SR!  Came thru as Waukeegan IL... She was calling because she needed additional references for her security clearance paperwork.

SO nice to hear her voice, she said she is doing well and just a little frustrated because others in the DIV are having trouble following orders which means extra IT for everyone on the spot!  Today is their 1:1 day due to being on hold waiting for enough females to fill their division.  That means they are now technically a PUSH division having to finish all 8 weeks in the 7 weeks they have left before PIR on 03.28.14.  HAPPY MOMMA! {C}

We took a gamble and made airline reservations today.  Virgin is having some great deals for anyone going from SFO to O'Hare.

Dont have letter yet but know that Division is 811 according to recruiter.  SO excited the 800 boys are going a week early.  YEA!!!!!

RobbysMom:  Still too early for all of the form letters to have arrived.  Keep  checking your mailbox and in the meantime, stay here on this group until your date is confirmed or you find you are in the next PIR group.

Those who booked at Navy Lodge, did you book in SR's name?  If not, please call back and change it to that unless you have military ID yourself.

Those staying in GL for A School will have Daytime Liberty with you Fri (after moving over there), Sat, Sun.  Those flying out will most likely fly out Sat., but maybe Sunday, so try and stay yourself until Sunday.  You can wait with your sailors at the airport until their flights...take ID for gate pass to wait until plane leaves.

We are booked at the quality inn. Does anyone know if we will get Sunday with them? I booked my room until Monday because I wasn't sure.
