Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

ttmd: They usually get a good amount of time to talk on the I'm a Sailor call but it depends on how many divisions are calling. Should be at least 20 minutes, but some may get up to an hour and they usually can make multiple calls.

Erauka: He still has time! He will have until next Wed to pass whatever he failed. Lots of prayers for him to be able to get this done before PIR! If he doesn't pass by then, he will stay in FIT and keep trying. He won't have a PIR in that case, but still gets more chances. When he passes, he would then do BattleStations and fly to A School.
So keep the faith! Hoping you get a call next week (he should be able to test again Monday and probably tested today).

Congrats to all the new sailors and prayers to those who are still pushing to the end goal. I pray that all will find the strength within themselves to accomplish their goal.

Congrats on all the sailors. Unfortunately my son did not pass. I don't know what he did not fail which test. I am assuming swimming. Hoping and praying for all the young men and women that struggling lord give them another chance to make it. I received the call Wednesday night.

Em'sMom- I can't wait to hold my son! I hope I can hold down the PDA! I read that they make exceptions for special occassions, thank God! I'm glad I read the "rules", alot of it I didn't know, like walking on your Sailor's left, to free his right arm for saluting....

My son's letter that I received today sure made my day! He "sounded" great..... I hear his voice when he writes. He's happy. Really happy..;)
