N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Good Morning All!  Happy for calls received, and hoping for more!  Just remember, when they say then can call again on (date), hopefully that will happen.  If it doesn't, it could be for many reasons...no time, division lost the calls, individual lost a call, other responsibilities, watch, etc....so phones handy on that day and hopefully that call will come in!

Andrea- that is GREAT!! :) so glad to hear that... for me, it's been weeks since I've had a call, getting difficult, ugh but only 2 more weeks :)

Hi all! Been busy with spring break and haven't posted on here in a while, but....I finally got a phone call tonight!! After so long of MIA letters and talks. It was literally hi bye I love and miss you and see you soon but it was so great to hear from my SR. Did anyone else receive a call? If not, he also said he will be able to call again on the 21st so maybe the rest of DIV 132 or others will be able to call home as well!

I send packages to the hotels up there quite often and they are very good about holding at the front desk until the guest arrives :)

Great News and info. Just spoke to the Navy Lodge and I am able to send a package to them containing my SR's A school list needs. I will probably send it a week or so in advance to PIR. I must have the SR's name on the package since the reservation for the lodge is under his name. Boy does this help so much. Don't want to have to pack an extra suitcase and pay for baggage at airport.

This entire experience has been nothing but wonderful and supportive. Everyone I've dealt with thus far is so dedicated to helping in any way. I Love the Navy
