for
~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Hi anyone in DIv 132 gotten a call this weekend wonder if I will get one.
Tam Tan as I found out last week that can not be done no other SR can put another SR family or friends on there list. I am sure like me at least 2 people will contact you.
Congrats on the call AnaLee!
Merin: Welcome to the group! No, don't be worried.....most of them get sick early on.....lots of SRs in one space, and so many vaccinations when they arrive that temporarily lower their immune systems.....they get through it. The emotions are normal too...but so hard for a mom to hear!!!. Just constantly be positive when speaking to your SR, in calls and letters. Don't share any negative info, including world situation info. You will see more positive vibes in your SR in a few weeks....as they have their goal in sight! So keep encouraging, praying, and reminding your SR that you have total faith in him! He will be a sailor soon! Remind him also that his feelings are normal at this point and that during A School, he will be back in touch with family and friends again!
Oh boy, Anna. In that case, I'm thinking maybe don't send it!!!
Hi! So grateful to find this site!! I am so so new to all of this! My son is in div 134. Received 2 calls both of them were very emotional and he was sick. Should I be worried?
LOL yeah, he is, we as a family talked about things around the dinner table. NOT sure about THIS one....We live in Oregon, you know the state that voted in pot smoking for whatever reason you want to... the ballot is about taxing it. One measure...one thing! No wonder we didn't even know there was a special election!! It would be hysterical now if he opened it in front of his RDCs! We wouldn't have enough time to wait for phone call, mail and have time for him to mail back.
