Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 131 and 132

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My husband and I are curious if the ship they are training for is the USS Kearsarge does that mean they are training to be stationed on that ship after A school?? or is it more like just what they assigned them to during boot??

All of the ships at the RTC have names, and they are actually buildings. Even the barracks (BEQ) at A School have ship names. The "ship" they are assigned to at the RTC has nothing to do with what ship they will be on in the fleet.

Thank you

I am sorry to hear you cant make it but I also understand about the cost and time off work. Do you know where he will be going to A school?? Maybe you will be able to go to his A school graduation with it being further away.

Sorinmom9, you got a phone call today from you son? Did anyone else get a call? Hummm... I didn't :(

Hi there, just received my form letter. ship 11/div 131. I already booked my flight through Southwest. Seems that their rates are always cheaper flying out of San Jose, CA to Milwaukee, WI. Also booked Navy Lodge which is nice. I've done this before with my oldest back in 2012! So it's kinda nice knowing a little thing or two. :)

Good morning!! Let's hope more loved ones get their letters today and will join the group!!

Forever a child of the 80's lol! From Toronto, Ohio how about you? And we booked the Homewood Suites in Lincolnshire. Good rates, free breakfast and we opted for a 2 bedrrom 2 bath suite for 4 adults getting ready for PIR!

Class of 88!! from San Jose, CA. Moved out of the big city 20 years ago to a small town to raise my 2 boys.
