~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".
The Weather Widget is interactive. Click the green dot on the top bar and drag it along the to change the time. Click LIVE to go back to current time. Click on the days to change to that day or expand out to six days.

BlakesMom: Yep, I'm sure he would love some cash! You can give it to him on Liberty too....since he will have his wallet and is allowed to keep cash in there...but either way, that is allowed!
LaLaRibbonQueen, thank you! I received my ribbons today! They look great! Can't wait to wear them.
SRMom, thank you for the answer on my money question! Very helpful. Happy Easter to all! And God is good, I agree!
Thank you Chrissy!!! Congratulations to all sailors!!! I know the feeling because I was one myself!!!!! I never wanted my son to join and then he used that dreaded line: "You and dad did it and now look at you both!!!" Success and failures in life build character; he stated to me that failure is not an option! I'm such a proud mom & so glad I found a site where EVERYONE can relate!!! Happy Easter & may God richly bless you all!!!
Question? Can parents give their SR cash money at the airport before they go to A school? I know we sent $25 with him when he left for BC, but can we give cash to the SR before they leave the airport for A school?
Good Morning! So excited for Captain's Cup day! They will have a great time and much needed fun and competition!!
Congrats to all who received 'I'm a Sailor" call. You must be so proud, what a great good Friday!!!! abraxtona, saying my prayers for your son. I'm sure he will do great on Monday. Happy Easter to you all!!!
Hall of Fame is the highest flag they can get! Here is the info on the requirements. My son's division got this and they were quite excited:
