Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

The Weather Widget is interactive. Click the green dot on the top bar and drag it along the to change the time. Click LIVE to go back to current time. Click on the days to change to that day or expand out to six days.

SalemPride, yes I am stressing!  I just made a "things to take" list to make sure I don't forget anything.  My SR is in Ship 13 Div 139, to my knowledge nothing has changed for him.  However, I do have a question.  The current message from Public Affairs Office, does this mean no photographs, or something else.  Sorry for my ignorance!

Salempride, Did you get a letter today?

Comment by SalemPrideShip02Div921 on March 27, 2013 at 5:00pm

Is anybody else stressing about getting everything together and ready to go?  Every time I turn around, something changes and I have to rearrange what I'm doing.  Oh well, who ever said motherhood was easy?

Comment by SRMom on March 27, 2013 at 4:45pm

HAS ANYONE HEARD FROM THEIR SR ON SHIP 14 DIV 141?

Comment by Cindy on March 27, 2013 at 3:56pm

my SR girlfriend received a letter today and he said he received a marksman ribbon and a ironing ribbon.

He also mentioned at graduation when they say liberty  he asked her to stay where she is and he will go to her. I can not believe graduation is almost here,

I hope you birthday is very special and filled with much love, kindness, rest and relaxation. And, of course something fun and yummy ♥ We love you Betsy ♥

MarcusMom:  Sent you a friend request with info in it....so don't hit ACCEPT or the info goes away.  See my post below to sonjal.  Same applies to you.

Comment by diannep on March 27, 2013 at 12:49pm

sonjal:  I'll friend request you with your division BattleStations info.  Don't hit ACCEPT on the request or the info goes away.  If after reading it, you need more info, feel free to ACCEPT the request then.
