~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".
The Weather Widget is interactive. Click the green dot on the top bar and drag it along the to change the time. Click LIVE to go back to current time. Click on the days to change to that day or expand out to six days.

Just over the mountains from TN :) I am so sorry for your families loss SailorMomSteph. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Love the paper chain idea! My youngest is 11 but she would like this and it would help us all see the progression of days til PIR! We could do red white and blue links :)
Beautiful Lala Ribbon! If I hadn't known, I wouldve guessed the mountains of Tennessee! Enjoy that concert! I would love to see them!!!
Sam (Amy's husband), what div is your son? Just curious as it sounds like my son said something similar to his gf when he called her yesterday. He had said previously that they weren't doing well but now says they're getting better. His comment was "we have a lot of chatty SRs" That made me laugh! Sounds like my class of 2nd graders!
Good morning everyone! The snow is pretty LalaRibbon! We have a ton of that right now here in CO. Mountains can be slow going especially if it turns into ice. I hope you make it to your concert tonight and safe travels to you.
Well last Saturday we were all sharing that we got our phone calls. Much quieter this Saturday. Looking forward to when we have a next wave of calls. Longing to talk to him again!
Hello ladies! I've been so absent this week and I have missed you all. We had sad news that I was afraid of: my ex's father did pass away on Wed. (SR's gpa) We had decided not to tell him and although I havent had a phone call yet, I know it will be hard to keep it from him for now. I DID get my first letter from him on Wed and what a happy day!! I had to laugh because he said the infamous "the longer I'm here, the more I realize all I took for granted before..." He also said his spirits are high and he's doing well". It was such a heartfelt letter and I bawled (in a good way). Very touching. Well I don't know if calls have started coming in today but his gf got a call last night (Fri) He now has a cold but great news: he passed his test/physical and made E2! So proud! It didnt sound like he'd be calling today as he told her to tell me "he'd try to call next week". Rats! :( Hope the rest of you do get calls! Oh and Div 139 is starting to pull it together! Yea boys!
I promise to catchup on here....miss you all but am thinking of you and our SRs...WE'RE ALMOST HALFWAY!!! WOOHOOO
Sigh.....so pretty.
Good Morning!
I am sure you both would love it. Seeing that paper chain get shorter and shorter would be awesome. I can imagine seeing it with just 3 or 4 links left and be freaking out because I was not ready lol.
Good morning everyone. This is what we woke up to this morning here in NC. Date night with my hubby tonight to go see Little Big Town in Concert might get a bit tricky later on today. Compared to most places this is not much snow at all but on curvy mountain roads it can be a huge problem.
Vonda, thanks for the word on 921. You guys are info. source since he hasn't written.
