~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".
The Weather Widget is interactive. Click the green dot on the top bar and drag it along the to change the time. Click LIVE to go back to current time. Click on the days to change to that day or expand out to six days.

Craig....wow. I have a friend who is a hygienist and her hubby a dentist. They do mission trips down to S. America and the islands to do the same thing. They said it is the most rewarding thing in the world....I know that the blessings you and your wife are receiving are immense! It is amazing what a good feeling it is when we give our "time" and "skills" to people who have no way to repay it to us...it is the best feeling in the world! God Bless You and your wife!
Good Morning All!
Hey vet moms!!!! Woo-hoo... I can finally talk again... My wife and I have been in Asia (we still are), me doing business things, and she doing a medical/dental mission. After my business things were over, I was able to reconnect with my wife on the medical/dental mission providing care to the people that everyone forgets in the poorest of the poor in the Philippines. We have seen and provided service to over 4000 people. Luckily, PIRGIFTS.com provided some of the funding for the meds and ancillary items to make it a success. We had 6 UD Doctors, and 9 US Dentist. It was really hard on both because they had to use primitive tools to do the job. I just wanted to thank those that have purchased the boot camp challenge coins from PIRGifts.com, My job was the teach kids how to brush their teeth. Most haven't ever seen a toothbrush. Being the only white guy, the kids really listened well, and asked soooo many questions just to practice their English.
It truly amazes me how I lived for the past 3 weeks, Here is some pictures. All the services provided were on a basketball court. It's amazing to see what we had done will such limited resources.
lilmary-we are making this a road trip too-my mom (SR grandma) and my 13 year old daughter 15 hr road trip from CO. To a new adventure! Lookin forward to meeting everyone!
MommaB praying you get that phone call from your SR. That is what I needed, just to hear her voice.
SalamPride my SR is my 19 year old daughter, she has never been away from home this long. When she called yesterday I couldn't believe how good she sounded, and how high her spirits are. I am so proud of her for going after her dreams. I am proud of all the SR. Just think only 39 more days till graduation.
I thank god for this site and all you moms. It helps me out a lot reading all the post and knowing that there are other moms feeling the same way I am.
I hope when it graduation time we all get to meet in person. I will keep everyone informed about where I will be staying. It will be me and my 17 year old son, road trip for us. Planning on leaving North Carolina early on Wednesday, April 3rd for a 14 to 15 hour drive.
I agree with you, ConnieA, it is probably harder on us. I am getting more and more anxious as I read others are getting calls. I just want to hear his voice....
