~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".
The Weather Widget is interactive. Click the green dot on the top bar and drag it along the to change the time. Click LIVE to go back to current time. Click on the days to change to that day or expand out to six days.

We made our reservations at the Ramada Inn, free waffle breakfast and shuttle to the graduation and same price as the Navy Lodge, also has an indoor pool. Since I have other kids going, that was a must!
Chrissy: I bet it was from the shots....they are bombarded with those when they arrive...and it temporarily lowers their immune system so they are susceptible to the germ there. Plus, they get a flu shot and we all know that sometimes people can actually get a mild form of the flu after that. So...who knows? But most of them get some kind of illness at some point and they seem to all get through it!
The division not doing well this early is quite common. It won't mess up the division's graduation date, but could cause some SRs to be "asmoed " (setback) if they don't get it together. But the division itself will graduate on time!
Good Morning All!
Did anyone see the bad wreck last night at Daytona Speedway on the news? The Daytona 500 is today. My son works at our Speedway down here in Miami and he and some of his co workers have been up there for almost 2 weeks preparing for today's race. When I heard about the wreck and how debris injured spectators, I was scared to death that my son could have been affected since he is located on the track grounds. I was thankful to find out he was fine...but what a night they were having trying to clear all up to prepare for today. Thankfully, no one was killed (which was amazing looking at the cars and damage to the track)...but last I heard, there were at least 2 spectators (one a minor) in critical condition from being hit by debris. How awful...prayers for all of them.
oh mommaB, i will keep my prayers open you get a call and/or letters very soon!
Salirmomship, I was thinking of the Courtyard too. It would be great connect there!
I hope everyone has a great day today! We are going to have a heavy snow storm in CO-uggghhh! Prayers are with everyone and their sailors!
Well, no call, no letters...yet :) I am encouraged by all of you who did. I will keep my phone close tomorrow too. Thank-you for posting and letting us know when to be on the look out!! G'nite all!
I got a call from my SR today too. She sounded good, a little home sick but good. She said she has been sick too, she thinks it's from the shots and she was thrilled she didn't have to have her wisdom teeth taken out. She said everyone she is with is awesome, but they aren't doing well as a division. I really hope this doesn't mess up there graduation. I'm so looking forward to seeing her on the 5th of April!!!!
My daughter has made some new friends and I am glad about that. She told me that I have talked to a girls mom from hope mills,nc. I am not sure who the mom is. If any of you are in hope mills, nc let me know.
I got a call today from my daughter. She sounded really good, I feel so much better now that I have talked to her. I know she is good and her spirits are high. I am thinking about staying at The Sleep Inn, it's only about a mile or so from the base,
