N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Got. My long awaited phone call. Sounded so good, not sick, upbeat, having a good time but ready for graduation. Still counting down God Bless.⚓⛪

*seems a bit early for this PIR GROUP to be finished all testing (not division)

AustinsMom:  He still has the final PFA (fitness) test to pass....the SRs MUST pass that one in order to do BattleStations no matter what they did on the first two.  Not sure if there are other academic tests they need to still pass.  Seems a bit early for this division to be finished with all testing since they have 3 more weeks until graduation.

Akrbrr:  Hmmm....never heard of a website where they can confirm the names they put on the list?  The first ones are in the form letter....and then when they update, they send nothing to you but can tell you during the I'm a Sailor call.  As far as the number of calls, it varies....some may only get 3 but others may get more.  So keep the phone ready always!

AustinsMom:  Very common for some of the sailors to want to go to your hotel room and put on comfy clothes that you brought (have to stay in the room though....only uniform on when out of the room)....and SLEEP!  That is why we suggest that all let your sailors dictate their Liberty time selections.  They are all different!

Got a long call from my SR son!!! He's Ship 3 Div 157. Keep your phones close! Got to talk for almost an hour! He's great. Said they're currently in hell week. But I didn't hear any complaints. They did live fire yesterday I think. They got an academic flag! He's passed all of his test so far. He said at graduation he wants to sleep!

Yay....so excited just got a call from my son (ship 06/div 153).  Got to talk to him for 45 minutes.  He sounded so tired.  He said they just got through marching.  He was mentioning that we needed to go to some website that was listed on the form to confirm our names on the access list.  Does anyone know about this?  I can't seem to find what he is talking about.  I asked him if this was his official I'm a sailor call and he said no.  I thought they were only allowed three calls.  We got to talk to him for a short period of time about two weeks ago.

Great idea to have a poster with piks of the sailors in those divisions at the MeetandGreet!  Just wanted to remind you that no posters, banners or signs can be brought to PIR though.  We usually get asked that question in most PIR groups.  Use those to decorate your hotel room to honor your new sailor!

Good Morning!

So I came up with those that are attending Sarges Meet and greet.  SHIP3 Div 157-158.
bring a picture of your SR or something you want to pin on the poster and we can watch it come together as folks arrive.
a picture will be easier  for those flying. I will supply the poster to Hang " ship 03 Division 157-158" will be at the top to Identify the group.

see you there :0)
