N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Naju:  It is not just Midway where the sailors are to fly out...many fly out of Ohare.  My son did.  And you can pass off whatever your sailor can fit in their Navy luggage at the airport.  They have a large seabag, garment bag (uniforms) and carry on Navy backpack.

I'm curious about captains cup and what it is or what happened, the "I'm a Sailor call" was so brief and we were both so excited and Anxious about graduation that I didn't ask anything about what Captain's cup included.   Positive thoughts sent to those families whose Sailors weren't done with Battlestations or their PFA's yet  I hope everyone got their calls and that all recruits passed.  :-).  Travel safe everyone and enjoy the time you have with your Sailors.  From what I understand, most travel out the next morning from Mid-way, so I hope I can pass off a cell phone/laptop there :-) so it's easier to keep in touch.  She's really wanting her own workout clothes, undergarments, cell phone, makeup and Nikes.  I hope it's not a problem to pass a very small carry on off to her.

*I should mention that if you do not get an I'm a Sailor call on the day expected, it could be that your sailor had WATCH and couldn't call.  Hopefully he/she can call later that night or the following day.

Kiara:  Since the last two BattleStations days for this PIR group are tonight and Tues night, your division will go through one of those nights.  I can't post the specific date here (not allowed) but you will be getting a great call at the latest by Wed!  I will be posting the division numbers of those who went through the night before on the morning that they finish. We are allowed to do that.

Good Morning!

RTC FB should post tomorrow about the winners of Captains Cup.  Congrats to 154!

They posted on PIR FB page Div 154 won captains Cup, nothing about the co-ed group.
U.S. Navy Recruit Training has not posted info yet.

It is possible that 158 has already had their final PFA....otherwise it could be Monday.  No news is good news if you do not hear from your SR after the final PFA.  They will call you if they failed it.  Hoping none do (or did!).

Good Morning!
