~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Good Morning!
"Every good and perfect gift is from above,
coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights,
who does not change like shifting shadows."
James 1:17
Lala--thank you for the update. I can't imagine what they are going through. It really puts my problems in perspective. I will pray! Diannep, thank you for the info on PIR gifts. Have you all seen this video on Battlestations 21 put up by Craig? It is much more in depth than the CNN piece. Approx 8 min long.
Lala I have not stopped praying for everyone of that disaster. Of course I will cont to pray for God to give them all the strength to able to move forward and Heal.
Good morning Everyone!!! Leach73 my Brother is in DIV 148. and I think someone might have answered this but is today or tomm the last day we should write a letter to our SR and they will still get by PIR 4/18/14. WOW! only8 days left. I will check this in the afternoon off to work to the WORLD FAMOUS JUNGLE CRUISE!
Good morning! I look forward to coming on here each morning...it has become a security blanket for me throughout this boot camp journey. I'm so thankful that whenever I come on here with an anxious heart, that I can vent and then receive comfort and encouragement from you all. Just want to say Thank You!!
Lala - I clearly remember hearing about this little boy that was rescued and how they were still looking for his dad and siblings while the mom was at work. I read in disbelief your entry and my heart goes out to all affected.
Angelina - what Div is your brother in?
Anyone in this group have an SR in Div 145?
They can receive graduation gifts, but cannot take them back to RTC with them---you can meet them at the airport with the gifts (if they will fit in their Navy-issued backpack) or mail them to them once they get to A School---those staying in GL for A School can take them back there once they have moved over to that base.
Challenge coins are fine....they usually get one in their Bootcamp Ship name: www.pirgifts.com
Maybe you can give your new sailors giftcards to use at their A School? Or a NEX card to use at their A School? That way, they can pick out what they need once they arrive.
Good Morning!
Lala,
Prayers for the Spillers' family and all the other families affected by the Washington mudslide~~
Hi everyone. I have had several emails and messages asking if there are any updates on my son-in-laws family who was swept away by the mudslide in WA. It is easier to update here than to send out so many messages and emails.
Billy Splillers and his children were home when the mudslide hit. His wife was at work. Their four year old son was among the first to be rescued after the mudslide. He was pulled free from the mud by firefighters and a helicopter and was reunited with his mom when she found him at a local hospital. It was announced on Monday that Billy was identified as the latest slide victim. Their daughter Kaylee, 5, was among the first victims identified. The body of their 13-year-old son (Billy's stepson) Jovon was identified last Thursday and their 2-year-old baby girl Brooke, is still missing. The family truly appreciates all the love, support, thoughts and prayers from all of our extended Navy family and I really appreciate the support we have received from all of you. There are 3 victims that have not been identified and 12 are still missing. Please continue to keep all the families affected by this disaster in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks so much <3 <3 <3
Leach73 I too am praying for your Daughter, My Brother and every SR a lot! and for all that do not make to PIR. I pray they their way in Life to everything but get discouraged. I happy u got the letter.
Good Afternoon to one and all ! Spencer'sMom thank YOU for your encouraging words. I almost felt they are for me. I am going through some tough times at work. I will remember them when I am at work. And I am so happy you got a letter from Him!
