Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Lala Ribbon Queen--I sent you a friend request so I can order a ribbon for my daughter...can you let me know how to proceed with my order?  Also, did you all notice the song that is played at the end of Battlestations 21 (on the video) when the sailor recruits  get their official "Sailor" cap? I can't post the link from you tube for some reason, but it is Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA".  We all gathered 'round and listened to it last night at my house.  Not a dry eye in the room.

Thanks so much everyone :) She is my pride and joy for sure. So much like her mommy and she is crawling now. Super cute!

Liz, it is not too late to order ribbons. If you get the order to me by Wed this week they will ship by Thursday and you should have them by this weekend :) I ship priority 2-3 day mail :)

Good morning!

Has anyone tried to log onto the link for the gate pass?  I keep getting "error/page does not exist".  I'll keep trying...just wondering if anyone else is having this problem or is it me. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. It helps to know so that I am going to make my flight reservations this week.

Lala, is it to late to order ribbons so I will receive them b4 4/16?

Comment by diannep on April 6, 2014 at 11:44pm

We think the nights they will do BattleStations will be this Thurs, next Mon and Tues nights.  Won't say specific divisions going on those nights (not allowed to post publicly)...but I believe those are the nights they will go.

If you just friend requested me with no question, I accepted so you will need to message me now with your question.
