N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Good morning everyone!!! 36 days yeah!!!! So I was very upset last night that I missed a call form my SR becasue once again I had my phone turned down and didn't hear it ring when it was in my POCKET!!!! But I did get a 2 letters yesterday so that made the day a little bit better. He is doing much better! He was chosen to be a section leader so that means he has about 15 guys to help through bootcamp.  He was also excited because he gets a "a cool silver pin on his collar" he also was chosen to be a Rover Watch (not quit sure what that is, maybe someone can help me out with that) so he is not getting much sleep.  But all seems to be going good!!! yeah!!!

SO2:  Thinking that one or two of those names may be the SRs' last names?  If so, sorry, but you will need to click on the "x" in the box post and delete.  Before doing that, copy and paste it to another post and just delete the last name (use initial if you want).  OPSEC does not allow us to use last names on here.  Sorry about that but it is for the SR's protection!  You can try and find these ladies by including the hometowns (if you know them) of these 3 SRs in your post!

Good Morning All!

Thank you Lala for sharing your story and for your guidance on this journey of ours. It makes this adventure bearable. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like without N4Ms.
So excited for the ones that got calls today :)

got a double day today..letters and a phone call! Since I'd talked to my SR on Sunday for 20 minutes I let his brothers do most of the talking tonight. It was fun to see them interact with eachother as if they were in the same room! I can't wait to see them all together in the same room..I think I'd better take out some damage insurance for the hotel room ...especially if they start wrestling like they always do! UGH!! <sigh> things will never change! lol

so busy today. could not wait to get home and let you know...i got a call from my SR today!! About 6 hours ago. Again, it was only 5 minutes, but this time she got to talk to her sister for a couple which made her very happy! nothing like hearing her voice that makes my day! Glad to hear some of you got letters. So far since she's been there, we've only received one.

Lala, thank you so much.  My SR has little brothers that miss him so much.  One was crying tonite saying he was never coming home.  what is interesting is that I received my first letter today and he mentions how much he misses his little brothers and to send more pics of them.
