N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

AndrewB/Mom....  Yes, that is true.  I get out of work at 2pm ct this week, so I get to check fairly early.  I am worried though. His first phone call was full of tears and very difficult for me to hear.  Since they wrote the day after, I hope he got better in that time ?  Just my prayer that he was just emotional that day.  Selfish on my part, I know.

HI all, I will be at Sarge's meet and Greet on Thursday night. Good to know about the pay check...got a bill to pay also.

40inthebox..how do you know your son will got to CT right after boot camp? My son wants to be on a sub also...i assumed he would go to Charleston SC or Jacksonville Fl. Not that it matters much...but the g.f. is looking for places to stay down south, not in CT. :)

Girls of ship 11 div 156 we got our calls together and  we will proably get letters at the same time too lol

Sandi, their first pay usually comes within 3-4 weeks of arrival.  They are paid on the 1st and the 15th of the month.  If they opened a Navy Fed account, they are paid a day earlier.

40inthebox:  Lala Ribbon Queen (one of our N4Moms veterans) is the creator of the beautiful PIR ribbons.  She posted about 8 below this one (ribbons in the icon).  Go to her page and contact her if you are interested in ordering.  She has pictures of them on her page.

Does anyone know when our SR's might see their first pay check? Have a bill that needs paid this month and want to make sure i can get it paid.

Gerald's mom:  My son is homesick too.  He said to send lots of letters. lol  So I did!   I did not get a letter today.  I am hoping for tomorrow.

I told my son that home is boring.  Not much going on. Same-o-same-o.  That made him feel a little better.  I am going to Sarge's M.A.G.  although I am in Division 156.  But it sounds like our kids train together.  So I look forward to meeting you.  Send a friend request, if ya want

What are the ribbons people are talking about?

My son will be going to A school in CT for subs after bootcamp.  Anyone else?
