Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

well we'll wish you a happy unbirthday then, Lala! My nephew was born April 1, my BIL was in Taipei at the time. When they ran in and told him he had a son, he thought it was an April fool joke. The locals didn't get that at all, lol!
Sorry, no it's not my birthday yet. Our college girl and her roommate were home for the weekend and they baked me a cake and celebrated my birthday on Friday since they cannot be here on my birthday. I was supposed to be born on Aprils fools day and fooled them all by waiting a week lol. So I actually have 5 more days to enjoy still being in my 40's and then the big 50..... I remember when I thought 50 was old. Needless to say I don't feel that way any more lol.
Friends,
"O Lord, You have watched me and known me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
You comprehend my path and my lying down,
and are acquainted in all my ways.
For there is not a word on my tongue,
but behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
You have hedged me behind and before,
and laid Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high and I cannot attain it."
Psalm 139:1-6

I agree Debi... 17 days to go!!!
Ahhh it's Monday..and it's APRIL!!!! WHOOHOOO!! It's so hard to believe that just yesterday (FEB 18.) we dropped our son off at the 'infamous' hotel and then went the next day to see him swear in and leave for BC. April 19 seemed like an eternity away..now here it is April already! I cannot wait for the 19th!!!!
