OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Hi everyone, I just joined this group. My husband is Ship 03 Div 167. We have 2 kids together with our final one due May 21...yikes! Our son is 16 months old and is a total daddy's boy...this past week he is now starting to act out by crying all the time, won't leave my side, he's fine during daycare (I still work full time) but once I pick him up, he just screams and cries (real tears), he won't sleep through the night and when I get up with him he just says dada over and over again. Our daughter is almost 4 and is a mommas girl, she knows her daddy is at his new job on a boat and tells everyone she can. She doodles for him every night as I write my daily letter. We are counting down the days until we get to see him and I can not wait. I am so excited to see how our son reacts to seeing him. We have less then 5 weeks until we get to see and hug our loved ones!!!

NavyWife02162014,

There's really no way to tell.  Only if a few SRs say no more calls are coming until after Battlestations do you know they are going through their intense training, so just be prepared for calls always~~

Thanks Ellen, I was beginning worry. other moms in our division are getting the same type of calls :(

VsMomCB, Almost every division goes through the "not getting their act together." It is very normal at this point in training!!! About week four they all start to figure out that working together is better than not working together. The "bad seeds" have been weeded out and the strong, able and team players move on. :)

Hi, any other divisions having trouble getting it together ?

Having issues posting comments for some reason. My son is ship 09 div 170. Got second phone call last night and 3 letters today! Hope we have all heard from our SR's by now. The M-O-M (mom oh meter as we have named great happenings since toddler years) is up 100%. I am proud of our young men & women. ⚓️

My son is Ship 09 Div 170. My phone call last night was a sweet surprise, then today I received 3 letters! My M-O-M (mom-o-meter as we always referred to great happenings since he was a toddler) soared 100 points! I pray we have all heard from our SR's and that all of them are doing well. Only 35 days to PIR. ⚓️
