~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Calls expected this afternoon from the new sailors of 185/186! HOOYAH! Phones close!
Good Morning Friends!
"You will keep in perfect peace
him whose mind is steadfast,
because he trusts in You."
Isaiah 26:3
I miss my call. But she left a message and I play it over and over again. I'm a Proud Navy Mom.
Good Morning All !
If they are caught not locking up something in their room (inspection), it is not good! At his duty station, my son's roommate failed an inspection for not locking something up while he went down to the bathroom. They are very strict about that. They want the sailors to learn early on that if they want to keep it, they have to keep it locked up. I remember reading of a female sailor who had her wet towel stolen from her rack while deployed on a ship. Their laundry develops "legs" and walks away if they don't sit with it and supervise it. It is very sad that it is like that now, but it is. So....best to learn now that they must keep everything under lock and key at all times.
Yes, they have a place that can be locked and they have a lock with them on their seabags when they are at the airport. They need to remember to put those items locked away though. Some may be a little too trusting thinking they are at home and leave their stuff out.
Congrats, Lisa!!!! So happy for you!!
I have a question that never got answered on Facebook. When the sailors get to A school will their laptops, phones be safe? Another words, do they have a locker or similar to store their valuables? Thanks.
Liz'sMom: That is wonderful news! So glad she got to call so you could encourage her. Lots of prayers for her....
Congrats to the new sailors of 183/184/926!
