Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

I was thinking of your girl yesterday and praying for her!!  She will be a Sailor because she is determined!!

Liz'smom:  As long as she is improving, she gets to keep trying!  I know it is horrible to not hear from her, but so hoping that very soon, you will get that all important I'm a Sailor call!  Prayers!

Hang in there Liz's Mom.  I know this is so hard for you but it's true that no news is good news.  We are all still praying that you get your call.  We will be celebrating with you.

Dee- Still nothing- not even a letter- it's getting harder everyday- cause they do the PFA's on Mondays Wednesday and Fridays- and then hoping for a call in between cause maybe she went straight into battle stations-  At least I havent gotten a call that they are moving her into Seps.. (my biggest fear).  I keep hoping and praying, and every day is a let down- yet trying to remember she can call with good news anytime.. It sucks...

navy_wife:  I was told by another lady trying to order the division tshirts that Poseiden is not answering their phone when she calls.  They produced the shirts through the May 10th PIR group, but not sure if you can still reach them.  A new company took over starting with the 05/17 PIR group.

The number I have for Poseiden is:  972 347 6655

If that doesn't work, you can try contacting the new company to see if they have any overstock from Poseiden:

navy_wife,

I just wanted to give you the quick answer of  "yes" you can still order the division shirt, but a new company started processing them with the May 10th PIR and I can't locate the contact info for you right now.  Probably Diannep or one of the other veteran moms can help with that.

Maria:  Call the Photo Lab to see if you can order the PIR DVD:
847 578 6205

I believe it is $29.

There is no set date for them to post PIR piks on RTC FB, so just keep checking!
