N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Hi diannep....

I'm going to ride this PIR group to the very end.  I just loved the gal that I had on my website.  She was just an inspiration to all.  She was one of my moderator. The journey she took was a long road (over a year).  I am so happy to see her making her journey.....

Liz and all, I know you're wondering where your sailor are located and other items.  What I'd like to recommend you do is go look at this area, and look at the "P" day section.  It will show you maps and how the ships (barracks) are laid out. It will give you an understand on how everything works there.....

Boot Camp For Dummies

Secondly, since some of you are on the USS Arizona ship-14, the USS Triton ship-12, and the USS John F. Kennedy ship-9,  I would recommend these document I wrote.  It will give you a full understanding about the true USS Arizona, it will show you the USS Arizona ship-14 at great lakes, it will show you the full meaning of what the RTC symbol means.  It's just full of stuff that you want to see...  For those that don't have a recruit on the USS Arizona, the 1st 3 chapters are pretty much generic.  Just read those.

Go to this link, and scroll to the very bottom and look at the USS Arizona. Guaranteed you will learn something.

Boot Camp For Dummies

Liz mom, I guarantee I will write your daughter.  She was such a joy to have on my website.  I am going to ship you a boot camp challenge coin that I want you to present to her from me.  I think she will truly love it.  It will be something that she will cherish forever.  Look for it in about a week.

I'm a stay at home mom and all day I check my mail. My neighbor must think I'm crazy. And today, at 5:30 p.m. it arrived. I'm at ease now that it is here. I already sent him a letter yesterday with the address I got from his recruitor. I just felt I needed to get that out asap, to give him something from the outside world. lol Well navymom94 I hope you get your letter tomorrow!

That's what I'm hoping for! I've never been so happy to check the mail each day! Lol!!

Does anyone have any idea why my son would have left out the Graduation Date?  Everything else was filled in.

Comment by WestCoastMom SHIP 14, DIV 180 on March 20, 2013 at 9:27pm

@ navymom94 Then you should get your letter either tomorrow or Friday. I looked at the date stamp and it was stamped 3/18/13, so it took 2 days from Illinois.

Looks like this PIR group will have 11 divisions in it:

177-186, 926

We will wait for RTC to confirm this on their website!
