For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

If you go to friends and start typing Recruit Training Command it should come up. If you have a problem I will give you my name you can friend me and then get to it that way. I think the official name is U S Navy Recruit Training Command. The Navy has a bunch of pages.

My daughter said she has a great rack mate. They do tag team making their beds.
Her blisters have gone away on her feet so life is good. One day at a time.

has anyone from our division hear when there battle station will be ? i cant wait to see my sailor he"ll be saturday depart. hopefully i can meet him at the airport and spend some more time with him not to mention giving him his cellphone and computer :)

Haven't heard anything about battlestations yet, every letter I write I ask him to tell me as soon as he knows. I made our plane reservations this morning. Now all that is left is the car rental. I can't believe it is less then 3 weeks away. I feel like my nervouse are getting worse again because they are so close...I keep praying nothing goes wrong and no one is injured and they all pass everything. GO DIV 170!

I feel the same way! I guess we are in training too, practicing patience and dealing with the unknown. It is difficult to know the schedule. In his phone call our son told us the they are in a push division because 21 of their members were a week late arriving. They had to wait for them. His last letter was from April 17th. In it he said that this past week was going to very intense because they had to learn alot in a short time.
I tried to figure out from the website and I think their battle stations start sometime around May 5. The website said they usually start the thursday the week before graduation. I can't wait for the "I am a sailor"
phone call.
I imagine the first holiday is the toughest so I am praying everyone has a blessed Easter.

I think my son was one of those late arriving he shipped on Monday 3/21 and most everyone in his division that I knew are from the prior week. I really wonder if any of our boys talk, my son hasn't given me any names. He did mention that one of the guys of few bunks down had gotten the same N4M survey he had gotten. The best Mother's Day present would be if they are the group to go through Battlestations Thursday night before, that would mean they were in the first group through but I have a feeling they will be the middle group going through on Sunday night. But I am just guessing.
Have a wonderful Easter and I know we will all be saying extra prayers in Church for our SRs.

If they are like the girls, they are not allowed to talk to each other except at night before bed.

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter! Praying all of our SR's will have a blessed day and will be energized and ready to start what sounds like a very busy week. It is getting closer and the anticipation and excitement is in all of our hearts isn't it??? Have a wonderful Easter day!
