navyGF--do you mean lalas ribbons?...if so, just click on her profile pic and scroll down to watch her photo reel. You will see them up close. They are very cute, and look great in a scrapbook as well..:))

Is there anyway I can see the ribbons and how much are they?

jdmom- I would be the same as you. I waited to hang my blue star flag until after I got the call. I know you are supposed to wait to hang it anyway but even if you weren't i would have waited on that call. I also didn't wear a ribbon that I made until I got the call, then i wore it everywhere lol.

Thanks ladies for all the nice compliments about the PIR ribbons I make. I am so glad you all like them. :-)

I have already apologized to everyone and let my boss know if my phone rings I will be dropping everything to take the call.  I have a great boss and she now reminds me to take my cell phone when I walk away from my desk.

Regarding the "I'm a Sailor" , we purchased a Navy Banner to hang in front of our house the deal is as soon as the call comes in it will go up.  We didn't want to jinx anything as we have a family in our neighborhood whose son went to the Naval Academy and the flag went up the day he left, a couple weeks later it was down because he did not make it through boot camp it was hard on the family so the flag is folded waiting to fly.

Ditto on Lala's ribbons!  She gets them to you fast and they are very pretty!

Lala Ribbon Queen makes somes amazing ribbons to wear to PIR.  Its not too early to place an order with her.  I can tell you from experience that it made finding our son much easier.  Many of the boys saw the ribbon with his name and pointed me in the right direction.  Plus the ribbons are an awesome keepsake afterwards.

that time works--I work in a high school, not supposed to take calls during class  time. But, I am done working @ 2:40 est. Besides if that phone rings-I will take it!!!

They usually do start around 2 pm GL time as SubWife said, but they can go for a long time.  Lowest numbered divisions usually call first or simultaneously.

Im soooo excited for that call :)
