I noticed the same thing when Josh called! His voice did sound different. And I just couldn't figure out what it was. Maybe he did sound more "manly"? Hahaha.

Yay =D i got 11 letters yesterday that came in three envelopes =). Im happy because my SR sounded like he was actually enjoying himself and adapting well to things. Besides the fact that he got an infection in both his feet because of his boots and had to be on bed rest for 24hours sucks in general,  im sure he didnt mind it that much =D He's healing well and cant wait for PT .. ANd i cant wait for a phone call or at last more letters <3

No,most likely not weekly.  Depends on the RDCs in each division on how often they can call. Some allow more calls than others in other divisions.

I know didnt his voice sound different or was that just me? His voice was more "manly" if that's how you would describe it (probably because he has to yell so much and talk loud there!) But after awhile I realized he was still the same boy I knew, and I still am in awe that it even happened. I wonder how often we will get calls? Weekly?

Oh my gosh! I GOT MY FIRST CALL! It was such a shock and I almost didnt bring my phone to a place I was going for an hour or so..I am so lucky. This brightened my day so much, I feel like I am walking in a dream :)

Hello everyone in PIR group 5/13/11. My Sailor graduates his A school on 5/6/11 in TX!  SOOO excited and just a bit ahead of you and all the same emotions are still there. I will tell you that you get more contact in A school so look forward to that!

Hope you do not mind this interruption from the Group ANSWER http://www.navyformoms.com/group/answer_adoptasailorwriteeveryrecruit. Yet since your already talking about the mail you are receiving we are also here to send mail to any SR's that sure could use some!

In research, we have learned that nearly every Divsion/PIR group has some SR(s) that are receiving little to no mail, or may be in recovery and would truly appreciate & love more communication. If you hear from your/any SR about someone who could sure use some kind encouraging words. Please contact me by message or request to join.

Should you not want to join the group yet have a name(s) for us to write. You do need to friend request Hunters_Mom by a PRIVATE message with the SR Name(s) & address.

To join and share, first;, friend Hunters_Mom. .Next, Request to join the group.  After approval to join (may take a day or two) you can then compose a 'Send Message to Group’, with the envelope icon. This is located at the top of the page, to the right, above "Members" & below that is the ‘Leave Group’.  Send the SR’s name and address privately by 'Send Message to Group’ ONLY, with any particular notes so we may offer correctly tailored words of support in a card, note, or letter to them.

Again, please do not post any SR names, address, information in or on ANY PUBLIC FORUM or even the comments section within our own groups.

All good stuff, Felicia

Mine is in the 900 division (926) and things tend to take longer than you guys when it comes to recieving stuff. I've only gotten one letter so far!

I wonder if his division will be delayed in calls? Hope not!
