Ladies, I feel badly that I didn't write more letters to my son when he was there. I was such a newbie and didn't discover this site for a while after he left so was so uneducated. But now that I know that mail call is the best time for them, I know I didn't write enough! He never said anything and thanked me for the letters, and said to keep them coming ...but I feel badly. Well, he survived...he has been stationed for close to a year now...but anyway...just to say...you can't write TOO much! They LOVE letters!
And, judy, I agree with everything janlee said. She is a very WISE VETERAN MOM! :-)
It feels good to know they are happy..:)) You can rest a little easier now..
We tell everyone on here that if you do receive a letter from your SR that is upsetting, or they seem 'down'...it usually means they are having a bad day when they sat down to write the letter. By the time the letter reaches you ...they probably dont feel the same way...
It's so exciting huh? It's so great to hear from them :)
