Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

My sailor is at boot camp& I'm living with his family. I'm going through all types of craziness! His mother is so controlling& was so nice to me before he left! But not now. I find myself stressed and crying almost every night! I'm trying to stay strong for my own sanity . On top of raising a 2 year old & new born. :( it's allllll so much :(

Janet: Gates open at 6:30 a.m. and we suggest that all try to be there as early as possible. You will sit in division sections, but still by being early there, you will get a better choice in seating within those sections.
Shelly: Sorry, she would be considered an "extra" and they are not allowed in the PIR Hall. She can remain at the hotel and watch the PIR on the Livestream (some of the hotels will show this in the lobby or a room). Then meet up with you all after PIR. If she is disabled or has special needs, it is possible that she would be allowed on base to watch the Livestream in the Chapel, but no guarantee.

You aren't allowed to share tickets. Your SR puts the names down for the access list when he first arrives and only those listed on the list get into the drill hall. I don't believe you are even allowed to change the names, especially so close to PIR. They do have an alternate location nearby for extra guests with a live stream. But unfortunately, grandma will have to watch it from another room. :(

I need some help. My son's grandmother has decided she wants to attend graduation. With myself, my husband, my dad, and my son's dad we have used all 4 tickets. Is there anyone from div 175 not using all 4 that can give my son the extra so she can. Please private message me if possible.
