N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Comment by sailormaid on May 12, 2015 at 11:22am

It's almost time!!

So there's a whole week between passing BST and PIR for my SR — what do they have them doing that whole time? Besides the Captain's Cup and a pizza party?

Comment by Brandy on May 12, 2015 at 9:37am

Ok good me too!!! :)

Comment by tytulip40 on May 12, 2015 at 9:34am

I wrote mine in - so i'm hoping that's the way to go!

I just printed my gate pass.  It would not let me fill in my SR info.  Do we just write in the info after we print it??? Help please.

Good morning!!!

Just a reminder that we cannot post actual division BattleStations dates here....but you can post that you have one for Div ___ and others can friend request/message you for that info.  Private messaging the info is fine.

Comment by diannep on May 12, 2015 at 7:58am

This PIR group will be starting BattleStations on Thurs night....the rest of the divisions will be going through early next week (none on Fri-Sun nights).

Good Morning All !

Comment by diannep on May 12, 2015 at 7:55am

azmom:  They have until their BattleStations day to pass before calling you.  Then, depending on what day they go through BattleStations, they will have 1-3 more chances to pass before PIR.  So if you do not get a call by BattleStations day, assume all is going well and that the I'm a Sailor call is coming in the next day!

Comment by CatMom509 on May 12, 2015 at 1:13am

azmom,

Your SR will call you to let you know, but DON'T cancel anything because he will have several opportunities to pass and then go through Battlestations~~  The final PFA must be passed in order to participate in Battlestations.
