DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

N4M's Community Guidelines

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

And congratulations LeanneProudNavyMomDiv177! He sounds like he is really doing great. Are the T-shirts/sweatshirts specific to DIV 177 or can anyone buy one ? I might be able to get a few if they are available to us. My SR is DIV 928.

Thank you so much Lala Ribbon Queen PIR ribbons and diannep for the support. I will definately check back on the site. His letter said they will participate in one this coming Friday so I'm definately praying for good internet weather at GL. lol. So I'm feeling hopeful. He is doing very well, Made Expert on the live fire so I am so proud of him. Now I'm waiting on the letter where he lets me know how gas chamber went. Sounds rough. But I'm so glad to know he is LOVING being up there and doing great. Happy Mothers Day everyone!!

That is some crazy weather!! Got a letter from my SR!! He sounds great and is adapting so well. He got his sharp shooter ribbon and missed expert by only one point. Has been nominated for honor recruit and made it to an E3. He also painted the emblem that is going on the back on the t-shirt/sweatshirts packs that they are selling for $50. I'm so very proud of his accomplishments!!

Good Morning All !

Good Morning!

Happy Mother's Day weekend to you! It's going to be a good weekend here despite the fact it has been 80+ degrees in the last week, and is suppose to snow in the next couple of days. LOL

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on May 10, 2014 at 8:49am

Midnight, in the past people have been able to go back to the link and watch the PIR even a few days after it has passed so maybe you can still watch it :)

Good morning everyone, I hope you have something fun planned for the weekend and Mother's Day. Your recruit would want you to do something wonderful this weekend and celebrate the wonderful mom that you are :)

Oh, I'm so sorry, Midnight.  That happens sometimes and it is so disappointing!  Not sure if you would be allowed to order the PIR DVD for today since that is not your group, but if you are interested, contact the Photo Lab:  847 578 6205  I believe it is $29 and is mailed a few weeks after PIR.
