~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Quick question.....If a recruit called 5/20 saying they may not graduation 5/23 due to failure of swim portion, what are the odds of them still having a chance to pass and graduate on time? The conversation was short n depressing.

Congrats to the new sailors of 928!  Did anyone hear if 179/180 went through on Monday night?  If not, looks like 179-182 all went through last night.

SAILORMOM:  Yes, but there is no guarantee on that.  They ask that all extras please stay off base and watch the Livestream either at your hotel if they provide it....or....on personal computers.  For those with special needs, where extras need to be closer to the family group attending PIR, they will try to accommodate in the Chapel where they watch the Livestream.  So, my suggestion is to try and get into the Chapel if you feel you need to have your extras there, but be prepared if they have to return to the hotel.

Yes, children are more than welcome at Sarges MeetandGreet!  Bring them!

Good Morning!

I have a couple of questions. My son said that the family members that are over the four on the list can go on the base but they have to go to a chapel and watch how do I go about that? And secondly Sarge are kids allowed I have a 12 and a 14-year-old and nine-year-old that are going with us also.

Here are some files you will find helpful. If you can't make the meet and greet, print out the maps from the PowerPoint Presentation I show at the meet and greet.

PIR CHECK LIST

Taxi cab fares and other pertinent information

If you have any questions or need my help, please call me at 847-212-0246. During the meet and greet my phone will be on call forwarding if we have to rescue anyone stranded at the airports. I have sent out all confirmations to those who have booked my services. If you did not receive a confirmation e-mail, please contact me immediately. I also have a taxi guide if you need to use a taxi or car service while you are here. Please read it. I hear horror stories every week from moms who paid in excess of $120 one way from O'Hare and over $170 from midway and milwaukee using city cabs. When in doubt, call me anytime. If you get my voice mail I will respond quicker than you can imagine.

Last but not least - make sure your ID is not expired. Rental cars companies won't honor expired licenses nor will you get access to the base.

I just realized my expires next week on my birthday. LOL

Good afternoon my favorite Moms and loved ones.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the meet and greet. We have had a request for a karoke contest so guess what??

It will happen. I am gathering music from the 80's and 90's. If you want something special, let me know. Also, if you have not RSVPED for the meet and greet at the Sundance Saloon please do so today so I know how much food to order.

See ya all Thursday night - Bring your dancing shoes
