HI ladies,  Just saw a post where one of the mothers was going to tape her phone to her hip.. Hello All!  I am late to the party!  My son is Lance and he is in this division.  I have loved reading everyone's posts and have laughed and cried along with you!  It's been quite a journey, for us as well as our kids.

Lance told me he has about 10 really great friends (of course, he didn't give names), but that the unit as whole gets along great.  His latest letter (rec'd yesterday) was so upbeat and I could feel the pride he felt for his division in his words.  He wrote it was gas chamber (poor kids) and fire fighting this week.  Then ... BATTLESTATIONS!  My husband & I watched the CNN Battlestations 21 video on this forum.  Here is the link if you haven't seen it.  It blew us away, and be sure to have a hanky ready!

I, too, am late joining this site.  My daughter is having such an exciting experience at boot camp.  Yes it is very difficult, but she thrives on challenge.  She grew up in a house of all men (except for me of course).  So survival is the name of the game for her.  I have enjoyed her letters and phone calls but long to see her next week and get those hugs.  I am crying just writing this. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas to arrive.
