~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Cheryl:  Be sure that he signs a waiver to allow you all to talk to the powers that be up there....unless he gives his permission, they will not tell you all anything should your SR want you to be involved that way.

I love your faith-based outlook and trust!  You never know how the Lord will work!

NanM it's hard because in order to fight this I really need communication with him.i still am waiting on names and numbers to send all of this stuff to. He has been able to contact me very briefly but not enough time to get the info we need and really get this rolling, I do believe God moves mountains when it is his will so I am so grateful for the prayers, love and support everyone has given. I know Anthony told me to cancel my plans but I still keep hoping that if the letter gets in the right hands fast enough they can reverse this in time for battle stations and allow him to graduate. I know that is not likely but I can't give up hope yet.i will keep you posted

Prayers that the appeals process will allow the truth to be revealed, Cheryl.  May God give you all--especially your SR-- the strength to get through this situation successfully~~

Oh Cheryl!!! I have just read your post and I am heartbroken for you, your SR and whole family!!! This is just awful and SO unfair to not even let him call his doctor?!?! Do you have a name for his Dr to contact?! You are in my prayers and I pray that your SR, his Dr, and the Navy can get this ALL straightened out and he be able to graduate with his Div!! Don't cancel your plans yet! God does miracles and moves hearts and mountains!! Your posts have been a big comfort to me, Cheryl, and I sure wish there was something I could do for you all! Keeping you in prayer my friend....

I'm so sorry cheryl(Anthony's mom) that is very sad, made my stomach drop when I heard. Not fair that he was so close and has been working so hard, and then they find something. All keep u and your family in my prayers and especially your son this has to be the hardest on him, but he's tough and he will get through this.

Diannep I know he has a good chance. I am flabbergasted that they didn't allow him to call his doctor to get it straightened out first before taking his uniforms and all and starting the process of having him discharged. Thankfully his doctor said just tell me who I need to talk to and I will.

Cheryl:  I am so very sorry....it is hard enough to have someone medically discharged this far along in Bootcamp....and horrible that the reason is "bogus."  I feel so badly for all of you, but am glad that your SR is going to stay and fight this in every way that he can.  Prayers that the truth will come out soon......

Thank you so much for your prayers. You have no idea how much I appreciate them. I am still in disbelief. We have contacted our congressmen and his doctor who thankfully said just tell me who I need to talk to and I will do it. I am thankful for all of the support. I will keep all of you posted. Thank you again for your prayers.

Oh no....I am crying my eyes out right now. I am so sorry. I really hope he can appeal this. Why do they wait when everything is in reach to do this? I am sending love and prayers to your family. Please let us know how the appeal goes. Lighting a candle for you and your son.
