momofanuke-- I am glad your son is also doing good.  The poor thing having all that happen to him during PFA nothing like kicking a guy while he is down- literally but good for him being able to get back up and still have time to spare on finishing his run-- Hope to meet you at Sarge's!

Bless his heart! what a kid!  We are ALL proud of him for getting back up and running!  Kudos to him!  oh and by the way, I can just picture my son trying to jump over someone who just fell in front of him!  It would be just like him.... so thanks for that image, it makes me giggle a little too.  (guilty smile)

Awesome news, dereksmom21!  Thank you for posting!  My son has written, and talked about the flag they were designing, and their "buddy" division's flag, but I hadn't heard the news of their inspections, etc.  That is so great!  I am just so proud of our kids who have made it this far, and who are taking care of each other by now, to make sure no one is left behind, as I know they must sometimes do.  Bravo Zulu Division 168!

While I am not a mother of a SR in this division, I am a very proud and supportive girlfriend. I have been keeping tabs on this group for a while now and I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all of the posts. It has made me feel good coming in here and being able to connect emotionally with everything we all are going through! I am so proud of my boyfriend as I am proud of everyone in this division! I am looking forward to PIR as well! I got a letter last week stating pretty much everything already mentioned and the over all morale seems much more upbeat! Again, I do realize this is more for moms, but the girlfriend group doesn't have much going on for this division; and seeing as I have lived with my boyfriend for the past 3 of the 4.5 years we have been together, I feel I have taken on emotional side of the mom role! I hope to meet some of you at PIR and I hope we get to hear from our SR's soon!

You don't have to be a mom to hang out here, we are happy to share news with anyone who is in this div.  Come to the Meet-n-Greet that Sarge puts on the night before PIR and meet us in person.  I think we probably won't hear from our SR's again until they finish Battlestations and then we get that important "I'm a Sailor" call.  See you soon!

Yes please stay here on our group with us you don't have to be a mom to be on our site-- We are here for all Division 168 recruit supporters and we will love to have you.

Janet

Ditto that, K8linSwims08!~

So, so happy to welcome you.  Bless you and your boyfriend, and we are proud of him too!~

Well I have not posted in a little while but I have been reading about how everyone is doing.  I am so very excited for PIR, my SR is doing great and is so proud of how good his division is doing.  To the families of all the SR's in this division thank you from the bottom of my heart.  You have done a wonderful job raising your children they have been such a comfort to my son and they are making it easier for him with his missing us and homesickness.  He said it was nice to know that he was not the only one feeling the way he is.

Thanks everyone! I plan on making it to the Meet and greet! I am not sure when my flight gets in that day! I have gotten several letters lately... I acutually just got a call from him asking for more security clearance info... they seem to need some most outland-ish information! He didn't get to say anything other what he needed from me. :( But he said they might be able to make a call this Sunday! I am not holding my breath for it but it sure would be nice! :) We are getting closer and closer to PIR! I am so excited, I have started having dreams about it!

Wow, good news.  Interesting that they may get to make calls.....hmmmm?  We'll see, right?  :)

I heard from Matt yesterday.  He was also needing some additional security clearance information.  It was a struggle to come up withthe additional information!  His last letters were much more happy sounding.  I am not sure I understand the significance of the flags, but I hope they get as many as they need/want.  I hope to meet you guys at the Meet N Greet!

Great news about Matt, WfdMary!  So glad to know he is feeling happier!  Looking forward to seeing these transformed loved ones of ours!  I know for them each moment is a lifetime, but for us it feels like only a few days away!  Woo-hoo!
