Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 812 and 813
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there ladies!!!

You are right Saltymama! On April 9th is when our son left. My husband & I said our good byes to him at the recruiter's office and he flew out to Great Lakes the next afternoon. When he landed at O'Hare Airport in Chicago he called us (it was around 10 or 11 pm) he called from his cell phone to say "I'm here".
The next time that he called was a good two or three weeks later.
Also.....remember how you felt when the "sailor-in-a-box" arrived!!!!! ugh
oh yes, I remember he called that night around 11:30 but we never got a box.... he wore something he didn't like and threw away his clothes so he didn't have to send anything home lol....
Yes, I remember this all too well. My eyes were red and puffy for at least a week. Again, not sure how much we can say but my son is still on his journey and will achieve one major milestone on Monday. Hope all is well with your sons as well.
Hi Greta! Nice to hear from you.... glad to hear your son is doing well. I friend requested you lol as I know we can't share much publicly. Hard to believe it's been a year since they've left already.... time flies
Hi Greta! I know that a lot of us moms stalk more than post!!! LOL
Congratulation to your son. It's been a very long journey. That's why when I came back on the Navy for Moms site my new name became Up & Down....so fitting for what I've been through and going through right now.
I hope we get more mom to come aboard here just to say hello....I know we all have different journeys going on.
Hooyah
Last year at this time my husband and I drove to Chicago....our son's PIR was held on June 7, 2013.
Are you remembering like me ladies?????
Happy One Year Anniversary to our sons....where ever they may be today.
Ahh, yes. I remember it well. It's amazing how time flies and yet when we were traveling to the PIR time couldn't go faster for me to see him. I am so happy for the all of the little things now. A quick text, phone call or facetime. Love these guys and pray for them all of the time.
Greta334....I would love a reunion themed "where are they now". I use to be so depended on going on this site last year at this time! I wish I would have met all the moms sitting in the 812 section on June 7th.!!!!
I'm happy to see that I'm not the only mom that looks on this page from time to time.
p.s. I just friend requested you :)
