Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

I echo that same sentiment jaime30024! Here's hoping our SRs have a wonderful day and know that we are thinking of them.
Good morning it is a brisk 35 degrees this morning but we are supposed to see 69; I am hoping for some sun and warm weather. Sending prayers and positive thoughts to our SR's that they are successful in all that they do.
Good Morning! Beautiful sunny but cool day here in Toronto. Enjoy your day wherever you are!
Good Morning Ladies !
hey kevsmom93, my recruit is still sick too-spent 2 days SIQ. Just has a nasty cough but otherwise is ok. I didn't get any letters today, so sad! Maybe tomorrow. Was so good to talk to him but so hard to say goodbye. Sure do miss him! I know we're all in the same boat, so to speak! But this is going to be difficult; guess they're getting us ready for sub duty! Hang in there and I will try to also. :)
Hello ladies: Happy to hear so many of us received calls today. Mine was a bit of an emotional ride. Kept my phone in my pocket, SR called at @ 1pm and I couldn't hear him! He left a message on voice mail. Thankfully...he called back at 1:30 and I could hear him...huge sigh. My SR is actually still sick and sadly worse, now he has an ear infection which he received medicine for today. He said it's really hard but he's passing everything so far. He said he was handling the cold but the ear infection is bothersome because of pain and he can't hear well. I told him to stay strong, the medicine should help in a few days. I'm so proud of him. So thankful he got to talk to me to get a little mom support and sympathy I think it helped :-) When I got home there were two letters waiting, wow what a day!
diannep: Thank you for the heads up, you just never know about phone calls and once you miss one you understand how painful it is. I'm keeping my phone with me no matter what!
Thanks diannep; I had my phone pretty much glued to me today; guess I'll keep doing that! you never know!
RDC=Recruit Division Commander=their BOSSES!
Sick in Quarters allows them to not be setback in training...just some down time until they are on their feet again and catch up in training.
I would still keep those phones handy, even though some SRs are saying no more calls until after BattleStations. Because...they can earn calls, unexpectedly! Soooo.....continue having those phones glued to your bodies!
Roni: They will most likely fly out on Saturday (you can visit at the airport) but you were wise to book your own return on Sunday because sometimes they do go on Sunday...so that would give you an extra day!
WeAllGoByGeorge...: Oooops....I'm the one who had said that about holding the cord in. So sorry! So the phone problem is more serious than that....so glad he was able to call back and I will not be sharing that advice anymore! Hoping that his next phone call comes from a better phone!
