Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 207 and 208

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi! I guess I'll be the one to post first!

Haven't posted much here at all but have read alot. Would love to chat with other 207/208 parents. My son is in 207 and will be headed to San Antonio for HM A school after boot camp.

No call since the "Im here" call... It'll be 4 weeks Monday since he left. I really want to hear his voice!

We are! Super excited to meet everyone there.

Dying to get a call. I see most of the divisions are getting them. Not sure why 207 isn't other than my son said there's a lot of people getting in trouble for TALKING of all things!

Hi Holly!

Im from So. Utah.

I've gotten 2 letters.. hoping for that first call SOON!

Hi.  My nephew is 208 and will head to Charleston, SC for A School, Nuke program.  He hasn't called yet.  Maybe tomorrow... I'm sending him a birthday card and a questionnaire so he can fill in some blanks to give us the info we'd love to know but he won't think we care about (food, physical requirements, clothes, friends, etc.).  I believe he's more likely to fill that out and mail it than write a letter.  I'm hoping to get to the PIR, too, but it'd be a quick turnaround in order to then get to my daughter's travel softball tournament the next day.  Good luck to all your SRs and Happy Mothers Day!

Oh, and I'm in San Diego.

Hi JCB's Mom. My SR 12/208 and I are from Georgia too! He said he is doing fine, but they have lost a few. I can't wait to see him at PIR.

* * Happy Mothers Day! * *

My daughter is 207 and will go to Pensacola for A School for Master-at-Arms (MA).  I'm beyond excited for graduation and really hoping for a phone call soon!  This site and her letters have made this process so much easier. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

I just got a call, too and he sounded great (and grown up)!  I'm thrilled!

Any others with Nuke SRs?  Mine just told me they chose their classifications yesterday.  He chose MM, Machinists Mate.

My SR is going to MA school San Antonio. 12/207. Got 7 letters yesterday and FINALLY got phone call today. Fortunately, her sister was here and she got to talk to her too. She says that they are getting in trouble for talking all the time and that's why they were not able to call. She doesn't like it there and can't wait to go on to San Antonio.

12/207 from Greenville NC, to MA in San Antonio after graduation.
Correct me if I'm wrong but MA school is only located in San Antonio TX, not Pensicola, FL. Additional training for MA is located in VA and a couple of other places but only after TX, right?
